Our client is a leading manufacturing company that owns two production plants located in Zabrze and Żory. Their main business activity is production of plastic finishing materials for the automotive industry for such customers as Hyundai or Kia. The company is currently looking for a motivated and competent person for the position of:
Development Quality Engineer
Reference number: 65/KFT/2016.
Workplace: Zabrze (economic zone)
Job description, main responsibilities:
- Working with development teams to identify and resolve reliability risks and qualify new products/technologies
- Ensuring a timely release and high quality of products/technologies to meet customer requirements
- Assessing reliability risks and defining qualification plans to evaluate or qualify new products/technologies or changes to existing products/technologies
- Executing the qualification plans
- Documenting qualification results and generating qualification reports
- Working closely with the project manager, customer quality engineering, supplier quality engineering and failure analysis groups to understand reliability failures/issues and develop mitigation plans
- Driving improvement in reliability and quality of products and technologies
- Reading and understanding technical documents & AIAG (Automotive Industry Action Group Approach) (Drawings, specifications, DFMEA, PFMEA, control plans, material certifications, dimensional analysis results, etc.)
- Staying informed of the current standings and regulations within the quality department and factors affecting changes and revisions to policies and Goals & Objectives (G&O's).
Preferred candidate profile:
- University degree in technology
- Experience in cooperation with VW Group (or other German automotive company)
- Good knowledge of German and English (speaking and writing)
- Skills and knowledge in quality assurance methods (statistical, measurement, testing, auditing) and the responsibilities related to the desired product
- Proven experience with 7 Quality Circle (QC) Basic Tools (Histogram, Scatter diagram, Run chart, Control Chart, Pareto Chart, Flowchart, Cause & Effect)
- Self-motivation with ability to multitask given various priorities
- Moderate Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint or equivalents) and proven communication skills.
